Accurate and robust: Built-in belt scales
Stable construction, robust design and high measuring accuracy - this is how the belt scales from MTS can be described. They are available in numerous variants - suitable for belt widths from 400 to 1,800 mm and conveying capacities from 2 to 10,000 t/h, in legal-for-trade and non-legal-for-trade version.
The experience of more than 30 years has gone into the development of the MTS belt scale series EBW 10, EBW 20 and ESW 2.3. As a manufacturer, MTS MessTechnik also offers the possibility of adapting the belt scales for special requirements. Numerous variants, both in standard and special design, meet (almost) every requirement, whether in wood processing plants, foundries, recycling plants, stone and gravel works or in the food industry.
Conveyor and weighing system in one
Weigh feeders are conveyor and weighing systems in one, whereby the conveyor belt is designed specifically for the requirements of precise weighing and equipped with a separate weighing section. The scales are particularly suitable for measuring and dosing tasks, weighing light bulk materials or low to medium feed rates as well as for legal-for-trade weighings.
The compact weigh feeder type VBF/EE is the optimal solution for exact weighing and dosing of bulk materials of all kind, e.g. for recording and controlling material flows in the production process.
It is characterized by three main features: accurate and reliable weighing, a very robust design and a short construction with a distance between inlet and outlet of only 950 mm. Therefore, the VBF/EE is optimally suited for use in harsh industrial environments and where space is limited.
The variable design of the weigh feeder allows a wide range of design options. Belt lengths and belt widths can be individually adapted to the requirements of the application.
Weighing in vertical process flow
The ImpactWeigh impact scale developed and produced by MTS, records the bulk material in the vertical process flow and is ideally suited for process or inventory control as well as for optimizing truck and wagon pre-loading. It is available in several sizes for flow rates from 5 to 800 m³/h.
The scales of ImpactWeigh series consist of a robust housing, the impact plate and the product and measuring chamber. The separate measuring chamber protects the weighing mechanism and also enables use in dust Ex zones. Another advantage is the divided measuring chamber, which can also be opened during operation and facilitates access to the weighing mechanism. This saves time and effort during repair and service work.
The compact IPW S variant, specially designed for small flow quantities from approx. 1 m³/h, extends the product portfolio. The mass flow meter is particularly suitable for continuous quantity measurement of powdery and fine-grained bulk materials, even with low bulk weights, such as seeds and grains, as well as granulates and powders.
Silo and hopper weighings
The weighing modules VC 3500 and LCM 460 are heavy-duty modules for weighing silos, hoppers, tanks and mixers. The special construction of the modules permits installation directly between the foundation or substructure and hopper support. The module ensures the optimal force transmission and a very high lift-off and lateral load safety - normally without additional transverse link and captivation mechanics.
The installation normally occurs without dummies, because the fixing screws in the upper module part protect the load cell from shock loads that may occur when installing the silo.
Both modules are largely insensitive to heat, moisture and other external influences and are particularly suitable for use outdoors and in harsh industrial environments.
The LCM 460 weighing module in the variant up to 20 t is legal-for-trade according to OIML R60. Optionally, the modules can also be supplied in a certified EN 1090 version.
+++ MTS offers numerous load cells and built-in modules for the weighing of silos and tanks. The selection of the load cells and weighing modules takes place according to the design, size and construction of the tanks, their installation and environmental conditions as well as the required measuring accuracy. +++
The weighing module KDH-5 with nominal loads from 20 to 2,000 kN is convincing for use in silo weighing systems due to its robust design, which withstands even very high loads caused by lateral and transverse forces.
