Description

The EBW 20/3 MID is a high-precision multiple-idler belt scale for continuously recording the quantity of the bulk material during the transport on a belt conveyor. It can be used in almost every conveyor.

The belt scale EBW 20/3 MID has a MID approval for classes 0.5;1 and 2 according to OIML R50.

The EBW 20/3 is a built-in belt scale, which is used in stationary belt conveyors, also for legal-for-trade applications. It is suitable for precise weighing and dosing of bulk materials of all kinds, e.g. chalk, brocken stones and other stone materials, coal, wood pellets and surrogate fuels, grain, animal feed and similar products.

The extended frame unit of the scale allows a much higher measuring accuracy compared to single-idler belt scales and thus for applications with legal-for-trade requirements.

The belt scale has a simple mechanical design. The frame unit is mounted on two support bars. Within the frame, there is located the measuring rocker, which is mounted on spring steels and three high-precision load cells. Each load cell has a transport and overload protection.

The EBW 20/3 can optionally be equipped with an adjustment device for static adjustment check.

As standard, the belt scale is made of angle steel profile and painted, optionally powder-coated, hot-dip galvanised or made of stainless steel.

Easy installation:

The belt scale can be installed easily. Weighing frame and measuring rocker are delivered fully assembled. The scales’ support bars are easily screwed upon the conveyer. The existing idler stations are mounted on the measuring rocker as measuring idler stations that there is no force shunt to the frame of the belt conveyor. By exchanging the support bars, the scale can quickly be adjusted to another belt width.

Low maintenance:

The robust construction of the belt scale requires low maintenance. It works reliably for years, as long as no external disturbance occurs (lightning strike, overload, etc.).

We recommend to comply with the measuring accuracy:

  • daily zeroing
  • regular checks for damage and heavy bulk deposition
  • annual adjustment with reference material or with test chain

MID approval:
In combination with a control unit that can be calibrated, the belt scale EBW 20/3 MID can be used as

  • continuous totalizing automatic weighing instrument (belt scales) according to Guideline 2014/32/EU (MID) and OIML R50 for the accuracy classes 0.5; 1 and 2

Functioning

The bulk material generates a pressure load on the measuring idler stations which is recorded by three strain gauge load cells.

At the same time, the measuring wheel running simultaneously on the lower belt and records the current belt speed.

By the control unit, the signals of the load cells and the speed measurement are recorded, scaled and provided as a weight value in kg/h or t/h.
