Description

The control unit ModWeigh Batch comfort is a modern and powerful system, which is mainly used in connection with conveyor discharge weigher CDW for batch weighing.

Die ModWeigh Batch comfort has a modular design: transmitter MT1, I/O module MR1 as well as a display and operator module.

Features of the ModWeigh Batch comfort:

  • Very high measuring accuracy due to a powerful A/D converter, high resolution and adjustable filter
  • Optionally, there are two luminous colour displays to selection (display MD1 or MD2)
  • Comfortable programming via keypad and comfortable menu control in German or English
  • By default are available: nine digital inputs and outputs, one pulse input and output, one analog input and two analog outputs as well as two serial interfaces (RS 232 for printers and RS485 for fieldbus interfaces via gateways – Profibus DP, EtherNet u.a.)
  • Plug-in contact blocks which simplify the installation, maintenance and service
  • Plug & play function via data stick

Functioning

The control unit ModWeigh Batch comfort are responsible for the evaluation of the load cell signals as well as the controlling the filling and emptying of the weighing hopper of the conveyor discharge weigher.

On the one hand, the control unit records the weight value of the weighing hopper and accumulates the individual batch values in the totalizer; at the same time, the ModWeigh also generates the feed rates in kg/h or t/h from the weight values of the individual batches and the time unit determined for a weighing.

The measured data can either be directly transmitted via the COM interface and Modbus RTU-protocol to the other Modbus-participants or can be provided at fieldbus interfaces. Alternatively the measured data and scale parameters can be displayed on an additional display and operator module.

The overruns of the characteristics are noted in the alarm memory, e.g. Flowrate default. The error list can be called and selected on the display.

The control unit is equipped with a data stick saving all parameters of the scale. In case of dysfunction of the weighing module, the stick can simply be put into the new module in order to make all scale parameters available (plug & play).
