Description

The loss-in-weight feeder DiffWeigh by MTS weighs fine-grained bulk materials with high measuring accuracy - even small and very small quantities. The DiffWeigh works in long operating cycles without a daily zeroing. The capacity is between 400 and 5,000 kg/h.

The loss-in-weight feeders of DiffWeigh are suitable for high-precision weighing and dosing over long measuring periods in closed production processes - even for small and very small quantities. Therefore the feeders are qualified for extruder- and oven-charges.

Also used for constant quantity and proportional control, for batching and recipe purposes as well as for continuous dosing tasks.

The loss-in-weight feeder DiffWeigh consists of a weighing vessel which is suspended on three precision load cells and output unit. The size and form of the vessel is individually adapted to the respective product characteristics and the flow rate. For an optimal output, a spiral elevator combined with a floor scraper is used. To bulking and to homogenize of the flow properties is equipped with a flat top which has a lifting screw and a miner’s scraper.

Benefits:

The design and the size of the weighing container as well as the discharging device of the dosing systems are individually adapted according to the application requirements.

The variable design of the dosing system DiffWeigh allows a variety of design - whether made of stainless steel, explosion-proof or pressure-encapsulated design.

Functioning

The continuous loss of material within the weighing vessel is recorded by the load cells. The load cell signal and the current output speed of the dosing device, recorded by a tachometer generator, combine to give the exact mass throughput in kg/h or t/h.

In order to ensure a very high dosing accuracy even if the refilling takes place, the filling of the scale is usually with a higher capacity.

The evaluation system will change from a gravimetric to a volumetric discharge dosing in which different flow characteristics of the product and the changes of vessel level are taken into account.

The control unit connected in series provided in analog and digital values for further processing. Here can be carried out an external setpoint. The evalution has here its own control module which allows dynamic adjustments of capacity to the quantity forcing.
