Description

The VDI/EE loss-in-weight feeder as dosing scale is suitable for a multitude of tasks requiring very precise weighing of even small and very small quantities in closed production processes.

The loss-in-weight feeder VDI/EE is used for high-precision, continuous and long-term stable weighing and dosing of fine-grained bulk materials such as powders and granulates.

Also used for constant quantity and proportional control, for batching and recipe purposes as well as for continuous dosing tasks.

The VDI/EE consists of a weighing vessel which is suspended from one or several precision load cells. The size and form of the vessel is individually adapted to the respective product characteristics and the flow rate. For an optimal output, a spiral elevator combined with a floor scraper is used. Additionally, the output device in form of a spiral or dosing feeder is optimally adapted to the product characteristics.

The material feed is carried out by a non-supplied feeding device, such as a spiral, a rotary feeder or by means of a supply vessel with pneumatic or electric sliding element.

Benefits:
The variable conception of the loss-in-weight feeder VDI/EE allows for a multitude of construction types. Whether its design is of stainless steel, explosion-proof or pressure-capsulated, the VDI/EE fulfills these requirements.

Functioning

The continuous loss of material within the weighing vessel is recorded by the load cells. The load cell signal and the current output speed of the dosing device, recorded by a tachometer generator, combine to give the exact mass throughput in kg/h or t/h.

If the output speed is permanently controlled, different flow characteristics of the product and changes of the charging level within the weighing container are considered.

The control unit connected in series saves simultaneously weight loss and output speed in a trend table. During the refill these trend values are activated by the control unit, in order to guarantee high output accuracy during the filling sequence.
