The metal detector Metron 05S is a single surface metal detector by MESUTRONIC and is perfectly suitable for the monitoring of belt conveyors. No matter whether iron, stainless steel, aluminum, brass or copper are to be detected, the Metron 05S recognizes reliably these contaminants.
At any time, the requested response sensitivity can be adjusted to operating conditions by means of a comfortable navigation. The lower belt detector coil (S-coil) can be easily and quickly integrated in new or existing conveyers. The Metron 05S is installed on four support plates with M12 threaded jackets. It is delivered with wiring and is thus operational immediately after switching on power supply.
The Metron control unit is provided with an LCD display with text fields and a keyboard on the front.
The metal detector produces an electromagnetic field after power supply has been turned on. This electromagnetic field is radiated by the coil surface and penetrates the rubber conveyer belt and the material conveyed. If a metal piece penetrates the field or leaves it, it generates a measurable field change within the coil, which is recorded by the control unit connected in series.
If the response limits set are transcended (response sensitivity), the detector is activated.
In addition to the response sensitivity set, the material quality, the form of the contaminant and the distance to the coil surface influence the metal signaling and activation.
