Data sheet

Description

The control unit ModWeigh CDW comfort is a modern and powerful weighing electronic that is ideal for batch weighing, i.e. for filling into the weighing hopper (batch-in) or from the weighing hopper into the subsequent process (batch-out). In addition to coarse/ fine flow control, the weighing electronics have numerous other functions (run-on correction, manual or automatic start, etc.).

The ModWeigh CDW comfort has a modular design: transmitter MT1, I/O module MR1 as well as a display and operator module.

Features of the ModWeigh CDW comfort:

  • Very high measuring accuracy due to a powerful A/D converter, high resolution and adjustable filter
  • Separate MD1 colour display – convenient operation via dedicated keypad and menu control in German and English (standard)
  • By default are available: digital inputs and outputs, pulse input/output, one analog input and two analog outputs as well as three serial interfaces (RS 232 for printer and RS485 for MD1 and other equipment)
  • Plug-in contact blocks which simplify the installation, maintenance and service

Functioning

The ModWeigh CDW comfort control unit evaluate the load cell signals and control the filling processes.

The ModWeigh CDW comfort records the weight value of the weighing hopper and controls the coarse and fine flow according to the setpoint, whereby high measuring accuracy can be guaranteed thanks to the automatically learning overshoot correction.

In addition, the electronics feature an adjustable tolerance control with automatic refilling, ensuring that the quantity to be filled or emptied is always correctly within the tolerance range.

The control units generate both the current hopper weight and the batch quantity already generated from the load cell signals and display the measurement data according to the user-defined settings.

The measured data can either be directly transmitted via the COM interface and Modbus RTU-protocol to the other Modbus-participants or can be provided at fieldbus interfaces.

The control unit is equipped with a data stick saving all parameters of the scale. In case of dysfunction of the weighing module, the stick can simply be put into the new module in order to make all scale parameters available (plug’n play).
