Data sheet

Description

The SIWAREX WP 241 control unit from Siemens is an evaluation system for belt scales of the latest generation.

The SIWAREX WP 241 can be used in automation systems such as SIMATIC S7-1200 with TIA Portal or in other systems (via Modbus RTU or TCP/P).

The integration of the control unit and the adjusment of the belt scale is carried out either via the HMI-based software "ready for use" or via the windows-based program SIWATOOL V7.

On the other hand the control unit SIWAREX WP 241 can be equipped with an additional control panel to realize stand-alone solutions for belt scales.

Adjustment and operation of the belt scale is carried out directly via panel. The control panels are touch panels with function keys for installation in a housing. There are three variants with different capacities for selection. The version KTP 400 comfort is equipped with a Smartserver for operation via iPad.

The SIWAREX WP 241 is designed as a module in the well-known SIMATIC design for mounting on a DIN rail.

Features

The control unit SIWAREX WP 241 provides:

  • Flexible use: integration in automation systems or in stand-alone systems
  • User-friendly: simple, multilingual commissioning directly on HMI, in the S7-1200 controller, or via SIWATOOL
  • Trace function: recording of flow rate, belt load and belt speed as well as other status functions
  • Intelligent speed determination for correction or high-precision recording of belt speed
  • High plant availability: setting and loading of recovery points
  • Diagnostic options: monitoring of all parameters of belt scale
  • Different connections possible: four digital inputs and outputs, one analog and one pulse output, Ethernet and RS 485 interface (Modbus RTU)
  • Adjustment support with and without test weights
  • High resolution: 4 million parts
  • Freely scalable
