Data sheet

Description

The control unit ModWeigh static comfort is a modern and powerful evaluation system for all static weighing systems such as silo and hopper weighing, both with load cells and with daisy strain gauge sensors.

The control units offer the option of setting three limit values, e.g. min, max and another freely definable switching point.

The ModWeigh static comfort has a modular design: MT1 weighing module, MR1 expansion module and a display and control module.

Features of the ModWeigh static comfort:

  • Very high measuring accuracy due to a powerful A/D converter, high resolution and adjustable filter
  • Separate colour display MD1 - convenient operation via dedicated keypad and menu control in German and English (standard)
  • By default are available: digital inputs and outputs, one analog input and two analog outputs as well as three serial interfaces (RS 232 for printers and RS485 for MD1 and other equipment)
  • Plug-in contact blocks which simplify the installation, maintenance and service

Functioning

The ModWeigh static comfort control units records load cell signals and use them to generate the weight value of the weighing container – both net and gross weight.

The measurement data is shown on the display and provided at the analogue output in accordance with the user-defined settings.

This data can also be forwarded directly to other Modbus participants via the COM interfaces and the Modbus RTU protocol, or made available at a fieldbus interface.

The control unit is equipped with a data stick saving all parameters of the scale. In case of dysfunction of the weighing module, the stick can simply be put into the new module in order to make all scale parameters available (plug’n play).
