February 2023. On March 29 to 30, MTS MessTechnik Sauerland GmbH will once again present solutions for weighing, measuring and dosing bulk materials at SOLIDS in Dortmund. According to the slogan “We do it right!” MTS offers weighing and dosing technology for bulk materials of any kind: pit and quarry, animal feed, recycling materials, grain, coal, wood or plastics.
Whether belt scales, impact scales or hopper weighings – MTS offers the right weighing solution for (almost) every situation. And where weighing alone is not enough: with the weigh feeders, micro feeders and loss-in-weight feeders, the company also realizes the most demanding regulation and dosing tasks.
Small and compact: impact scale IPW S
The well-known impact scales of the ImpactWeigh series have been extended by the compact IPW S for small flow rates from 1 to 6 m³/h. The IPW S is particularly suitable for continuous quantity measurement of powdery and fine-grained bulk materials even with low bulk weights, such as seeds and grains as well as granulates and powders.
The IPW S, developed and manufactured by MTS, has a separate product and measuring chamber as well as two inspection openings. The robust mechanics and dust-proof housing of the impact scale guarantee high reliability and low maintenance cycles.
The IPW S is used for numerous tasks that require exact quantity measurement within a closed conveying system in vertical process flow: for determining in-process material flows or for inventory control.
Conveyor and weighing system in one
Weigh feeders are conveyor and weighing system in one whereby the conveyor belt is designed specifically for the requirements of precise weighing and equipped with a separate weighing section. The scales are particularly suitable for measuring and dosing tasks, weighing light bulk materials or low to medium feed rates as well as for legal-for-trade weighing.
The compact weigh feeder type VBF/EE is the optimal solution for exact weighing and dosing of bulk materials of any kind, e.g. for recording and controlling material flows in the production process.
It is characterized by three main features: accurate and reliable weighing, a very robust design and a short construction with a distance between inlet and outlet of only 950 mm. Therefore, the VBF/EE is optimally suited for use in harsh industrial environments and where space is limited.
The variable design of the weigh feeder allows a wide range of design options. Belt lengths and belt widths can be individually adapted to the requirements of the application.
Nothing of the shelf: Platform scales from MTS
MTS designs and manufactures platform scales according to customer requirements. The scales are adapted according to the application with regard to the dimensions as well as the load and weighing range.
The scales consist of a stable substructure made of sectional steel, the load cells with force transmission and feet, which also serve as support points for the scale as well as the stable, removable top plate.
As a standard, the platform scales are manufactured for overfloor installation. They can also be designed for underfloor installation and equipped with an additional installation frame for mounting the scale in a foundation pit. Depending on the application, there are useful additional equipment for the platform scales, such as undercarriage, big bag frame.
