Description

The weigh feeder VBF/EE by Jesma is a very robust belt scale, which can be made in very short designs (belt length from 1,200 mm) thanks to its construction characteristics.

It is thereby particularly suitable for applications requiring precise measurement in narrow construction conditions and harsh environments. The VBF/EE is used for exact weighing and dosing of bulk materials of all kinds, e.g. for recording and control of material flows in the production process.

The weigh feeder can be optimally used for simple measurement as well as for regulation tasks.

The variable conception of the scale enables a multitude of designs. Belt length and width can be adjusted individually. Depending on the material to be weighed, synthetic or rubber belts are used. The belts can be either flat, troughed or with a corrugated edge.

The delivery includes optional drives with separately driven fan, inlet hopper and discharge hood, pull rope emergency switch and misalignment switch.

Functioning

The continuous material flow rate generates a pressure load upon the weighing section of the weigh feeder.

The weight load upon the weighing section, which is supported on one side by spring steels, is recorded via a high precision strain gauge load cell. For protection against overload, the load cell is provided with a mechanical overload stop. At the same time, the current belt speed is recorded by a tachometer generator moving along with the bend pulley.

The control unit connected in series combines material weight on the weighing section and belt speed in order to calculate the current conveying capacity in kg/h or t/h.

Due to the use of high quality mechanics, drives as well as measuring and weighing sensor technology, the scale produces reliable results with high accuracy.
