Description

The weigh feeder VBA/EE by Jesma is suitable for a multitude of different tasks where high-precision weighing is also required for legal-for-trade applications.

The scale shows unique flexibility and adaptation to the task required. Its design takes into account the specific characteristics of the material to be weighed and the operating conditions.

The weigh feeder is suitable for precise and legal-for-trade weighing and dosing of bulk materials, e.g. for truck and wagon loading, for weighing of extremely light materials such as wood wool or recycling materials and for recording and control of material flows in the production process.

The scale VBA/EE is available for belt width up to 1,250 mm and belt length up to 11,000 mm, with and without cover and in complete stainless steel design for applications in the food industry.

The integrated belt weigh bridge is placed on 4 strain gauge load cells which guarantee optimal stability and accuracy. An automatic belt tensioning system allows a constant and regular belt tension while the current belt speed is precisely recorded via a tachometer generator mounted on the bend pulley.

The weigh feeder VBA/EE is designed according to the current OIML guidelines, comes with MID construction type approval and can be used in legal-for-trade applications of 0.5/ 1 and 2 accuracy classes.

An ATEX conform design for 21 and 22 zones is optionally available.

Functioning

The continuous material flow rate generates a pressure load upon the belt weigh bridge of the weigh feeder VBA/EE.

The weight load is recorded via four OIML approved strain gauge load cells. The construction allows a very high measuring accuracy and overload security. At the same time, the current belt speed is recorded by means of a tachometer generator.

The control unit connected in series combines material weight on the belt weigh bridge and belt speed in order to calculate the current conveying capacity in kg/h or t/h.

The weigh feeder is delivered in belt widths up to 1,250 mm and belt lengths up to 11,000 mm in open or enclosed styles. For applications in the food industry, it can be completely designed in stainless steel.
